Jwo tanks are ready with a Lewis gun in position on the footpath and police sufficient to' preserve order. Heavily - armed soldiers look rather sheepish upholding the authorities dignity. 'Hie police admit a popular outbreak is not expected, and explain that the tanks are only out for exercise. HUNGER STRIKERS. LONDON, April 12. Tho British Labour Party has ordered a general strike on the fourteenth as a protest against the treatment of the hunger jjtrjkerg. They allege many are dying.
