BOXING.
A large crowd gathered at the Town Hall, Greymoutli, on Saturday night to witness the boxing contests. In the big fight between Havilali Uren ; of Australia, (9.6), and Eugene Volaire of France, 9.4) fifteen 3-min-ute rounds, for a purse of £2OO, after a splendid contest the referee (Tim Tracey) was unable to separate the men, and lie gave as his decision a draw. The six-round bout between “ Dick Redwing (8.13) and Curran (8.91) was a good even go, victory going to the former. In the contest “ Robbo ” (9.13) y. “Rusty” (9.12) six 3-minute rounds, Robbo threw in the towel at the end of the fourth round.
