Interesting* details of the " ol k of the League of Nations is furnished in. a letter appealing for £1,000,000 for the national education campaign on behalf of the League. It states that hundreds of meetings in support have already been organised on behalf of the League. Two hundred branches of the union have been created Two League of Nation’s period-cals and many pamphlets and booklets have been published. The union, is now agreed Jhpon ied!uctional text books, and is organising study circles C 'T adults and children. The work is so extensive that it is exceeding the .scope and it appeals to private generosity.. Tli© signatories, who are Viscount Grey, Lloyd Gaorge, Lord Beatty, Mr Asquith, Lord Robert Cecil, Mr J. RClyncs, and ,General Hubert Gough, declare that if the world is allowed to relapse into pre-war antagonists ambitions, it would be the greatest triumph of evil in all the ages. They emphasise that if Great Britain dees not support the League with all hei might and resources the League will wither and die.
Tho appeal is commented upon by the nr ess as the most helpful and promising support the cause of the League Las vet received.
The names of signatories of such diverse views are comparable only with the early days of the war, when tne whole country was united in its prosecution.
