Tli© signatories, who are Viscount Grey, Lloyd Gaorge, Lord Beatty, Mr Asquith, Lord Robert Cecil, Mr J. RClyncs, and ,General Hubert Gough, declare that if the world is allowed to relapse into pre-war antagonists ambitions, it would be the greatest triumph of evil in all the ages. They emphasise that if Great Britain dees not support the League with all hei might and resources the League will wither and die.

Tho appeal is commented upon by the nr ess as the most helpful and promising support the cause of the League Las vet received.

The names of signatories of such diverse views are comparable only with the early days of the war, when tne whole country was united in its prosecution.
