IRISH PATROLS. WASHINGTON, April 7. Barred from the 'streets surro aa-l-ing the British ‘ Embassy, the Irish pickets, flying in an aeroplane laiaed down leaflets expounding the Irish cause. Government officials are concerned at the international tingo involved in these demonstrations.

MILITANT WOMEN. (Received This Day at 8 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 7. On being driven away from the front of the British Embassy, the women pieketers utilised an aeroplane to send down leaflets denouncing England’s actions n Ireland. Later they picketed the State Department officers, carrying placards bearing quotations from pro-Trish speeches delivered on the occasion some time ago by the Secretary of State, Mr Colby.
AMERICAN ESTIMATE. WASHINGTON .April 6. Reports proposed by the American Commission to Armenia are now published. The Commissin states that it would cost the United States 275,000,000d01. ■ and require 25,000 troops in order to undertake the mandate for the administration of Armenia, which probably would lie self supporting within five years. The Commission advocates the absolute 'control of Turkey’s foreign pol- ' icy before the United; States, accepts ' the mandate, and sets out a large num- ’ ber of reasons for and against its acceptance.
