There are fresh Government pexsecutions in Irelnd. They are said to be regarded as being likely to pi event an Easter outbreak in Ireland. The “Daily Chronicle” -tales that Mr lan MacPherson has givju up his portfolio as head of the Irish Office. The reason given is that it is owing to ill-health. Mr Hamar Greenwood succeeds Mr MaePherson, who becomes of Pensions. Mr Kell away succeeds Mr Greenwood. WASHINGTON, April 3. A band of women picketted the British Embassy at- Washington, all bearing placards condemnatory of Britain’s attitude and policy of repression towards 'lreland.
