BOXING.
At the Princess Theatre on Tuesday night next commencing at 8.45 p.m, tho Hokitika Boxing Association will hold what should prove the most attractive contest yet seen in the southern town. The star contestants will be Frank O’Neill and Guss Venn (Tivulmminut). The latter lias a creditable record to his name, especially as a featherweight, and his recent win oner Peter Cook stamps him as an euuallv good lightweight, To my mind O'Neill will huvo the harder task on Tuesday night, seeing that lie will have but two days’ respite from the effects of to-nigbts contest. But he is such a hardy customer that one could imagine him having a pop every night. However, patrons can rest assured that Tuesday night’s contest will be above the average and with Joe Garvey rid Harry Long providing 'lie special bout a splendid evening’s sport ",t» StP'O 1« result .
