Alary has for all time taken the place of Eve as representing universal womanhood. Mary, by her utter obedience to*tlie promptings of the Spirit is the instrument whereby the world is saved from ugliness and death. Let us, then, be done with thinking of live as representing women. Mary, called by Cod to make visible the boaties of His universe, is the true type of womanhood, her vocation being the vocation of every true woman.
