MILITARY RULE IN PRACTICE. (Imperial News Service). LONDON, -March 24.
In the House of Commons, replying to Mr T. P. O’Connor regarding the shooting by soldiers in Dublin on Monday last, Mr MncPhersori (Chief Secretary) stated: “Dublin is now quiet.” He said a military court of inquiry would be held to investigate. There was no - evidence, lie asserted, that tho deaths of the civilians killed' wen' due to the military. Replying to Mr Kenworthy, Air MacPJierson said lie had no information that an armoured car* turned' out and used its machine gulls oil the crowd.

Mr AlacPherson replied “I was asked to justify the action of the military, and I did' so. I did' it in the only possible inferential way, believing my statement - to be true.” IMPRESSIVE GATHERING. (LONDON, March 2 4 The murdered Lord Alayor of Coilt, Alderman Mac Curtain, was buried at St. Finbarr’s cemetery in Cork city. Fifteen thousand citizens were i esent, and eight" thousand volunteers also attended - the funeral. There were also present the T>ord Mayor of Dublin, and the Alayors and Councillors of Wairford, Kilkenny an 1 Limerick.
The Catholic Archbishops of Cork presided at the Requiem Alass.
