Lord Robert Cecil suggested that the Premier urge the Council of the League of Nations to deal as quickly as possible, with the question of defining the terms of the mandates for ex-German colonies. Hon Lloyd George pointed out that the Covenant of the League provided the terms of the mandates that shall be defined by the Council, if not previously agreed to by the members of the League He stated that Government was earnestly giving its attention to the whole matter, and hoped soon to be able to give more information.
