WHERE AMERICA STANDS. W ASHINGTON, March 17. President Wilson is forwarding his views on the Turkish question to Senator Polk. Senator Polk is-Mranting a memorandum to the Allies. It is understood that President Wilson asserts that the Turks have no right to remain in Constantinople and that they should be ejected.

BRYAN FEARS ELECTION ASPECT. WASHINGTON, March 17.

Air William Jennings Bryan issued a statement opposing the injection of the Peace Treaty ratification question into the next Presidential Election. That election, lie declares, should bo fought “only upon big domestic issues.” Mr Bryan states: "I refuse to believe that any considerable number of Democrats will join the irreconciliahle opponents of the Peace Treaty, and so prevent its ratification. For Democrats, this course is unthinkable, and it would be an unspeakable disgrace for ever afterwards.” 1
