HIDE AND SKIN REPORT
Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly s :e of hides, tallow, etc., on March 12th., when they offered a good < a-tal .gue of all classes of produce. The usual buyers were in attendance, also several representatives <rf Australian firms. All lots were keenly competed for, heaxy ox hides advancing 2d to 3d per lb., medium weight ox and cows Id to 2d, and kips also showed a slight ad ranee. For calfskins as high as 50,1 d was obtained, being an advance of 2-’d on the highest price paid last sale. Prices for tallow were about on a par with last sale’s rates.
