[per press association.—copyright CHRISTCHURCH, March 11. Three prisoners appeared for sentence at the Supreme Court.
Frederick Charles Richmond, 19 y< ars of age, who admitted having broken and entered the Methven Post Office,. and committed theft, was sentenced to two years treatment. An order was made for the restitution of £2B. Walter George Edward Wheeler" appeared for sentence on a charge of forcing and uttering at Timaru. Prisoner, said his [Honour, had a bad record; lie was a menace to the community,' aiid should be kept locked up. •He would he sentenced to three years’ imprisonment, with hard labour. •lallies Ronald Millar, a youth was charged with the theft of £27 from his brother at Fairlie. Prisoner who was a first offender, had it was stated, ' been an inmate of an industrial Scliool. He was admitted to probation for a. period of twelve months, and an order was made for the restitution of the monev.
