INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC

A SLIGHT IMPROVEMENT. (Grey Argus) Information was received at this office last night that the position at Runauga is slightly easier. Five fresh cases were reported yesterdy, one of the patients being conveyed to the Grey Hospital in a somewhat serious State 1 . Otherwise the general condition of the patients at Runanga shows no increase in virulence. The Health Committee, met last night and decided to keep up a strict vigilance over the movements of convalescents and others, the patrolmen still maintaining a keen surveillance of all leaving or entering the town-ship. Quito a number of children are contracting the disease, but the average confinement to bed lasts but four or five days.
