McLEAN’S PICTURES.
GLADYS BROCKWELL AS PEGGY HYLAND. On Friday evening Mi- McLean will screen a star programme. The first star is entitled “The Bird of Prey.” A'mail' infatuated with Adele Durant, fearing disgrace, kills himself' in her presence. His friend; Robert Bradley, threatens to denounce her as a murderess unless she submits to his wishes. Bradley takes her to a lonely part of Mexico where she becomes one of the leaders of a'band of brigands. Adele hurries to warn her countryman, and discovers him to be Bradley. In a fierce struggle that ensues she wounds him, but he persuades her to flee with his party to the United States. The couple are pursued by the bandits. Pedro, the bandit leader, threatens to kill the women and children unless Adele comes to his cabin. Bradley arrives and rescues her, and when he learns of her noble sacrifice, respect is awakened and love follows.
“The Village Blacksmith,” a Mack Sennett comedy, ami further chapters of “Stingoree” will also be shown.
