! (Phb muss association.—cocybiovt i SUPPLY OF FLOUR, CONFERENCE IN CHRISTCHURCH. DUNEDIN. Eeb. 14. I From enquiries made locally, it is apparent that the supply of flour is ample to meet requirements. There appears to have been some difficulty in the north, especially in Christchurch. Generally speaking the North Island system of conducting business differs from that in the South, and more especially from Dunedin. The bakers generally deal direct with millers here; the Northern deals arc l’fgfly tjirougli merchants. The merchant.s in common with local bakers, have been buying flour in anticipation of tile, probable rise after the 28th inst. The South Island millers will meet in Christchurch on Wednesday. They will confer with officials of the Government, and probably something definite as to the subsidy on flour will he arrived at. Until an authoritative pronouncement is made by the Government the flour position will continue to be uncertain.
