Captain Frank Hurley, the Government Official Photographer, accompanied the aviators in the flight from Charleville, and secured a fine series of pictures. Speaking at a dinner given by the “ Sun ” newspaper, in honour of the aviators, Captain' Boss-Smith tributed the work of the mechanics. They were capable of turning out a complete ' machine. That was a big thing, because if Australia were faced with” another war, it must he remembered aeroplanes will be necessary.
