ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET.
A 'STEADY MARKET
(By Talegraph.—Special to Guardian. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs Matson and Co. report as fob lows regarding their stock sale yesterday:— Fat cattle—There was a medium yarding, with no extra good lines, but a good number of prime cattle. Freezers were buying cows and plain steers at fully up to late rates. Extra steers sold to £26; prime £l9 to £24; unfinished £ls to £18; cows and heifers £ll to £l4 and up to £lB/10/- for extra. Store Cattle—A large yarding, mostly oddments and dry cows. The demand was a shade better than last week. A line of good year old steers made £9/10/6. A pen of forwardcows sold at £B/12/6. Odd cows £6 to £8; 18 months heifers, £5/2/6, to £5/10/-; bulls £ll to £lB/10/-. Stjoro Sheep—’There was a large yarding, mostly of lambs which sold well. Best rape lambs sold from 22/to 25/-; medium from 1.7/- to 21/6; others from 10/6 to 16/-; best 2-tooth J bred ewes up to 33/-, others 24/- to 26/6; aged ewes from 15/6 to 21/-. Very few wethers were yarded. Fat sheep—There was a. medium yarding comprising many good slioep, also a fair quantity inferior sorts. Best wethers sold to 49/6, prime 34/6 to 42/-; medium 31/- to 33/6; lighter and , inferior 27/6 to 33/6.
