NO SURRENDER.
OF GERMAN WAR CRIMINALS
(By FJectric Telegraph—Copyright.)
(Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) ' v BERLIN, Feb. 5.
Cabinet has decided that it i s a physical impossibility to surrender the alleged criminals. The list exceeds Germany’s worst anticipations, as it contains the names of almost every man prominent during the war, from Count Hollweg and the Chief of the. General Staff, downward, and almost every prominent field commander.
Belgium demands Count Hollweg, England demands General von Capelle and Enver Pasha ; France demands Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria. Often the same name occurs in the separate Allied lists. Among names are the Grown Prince and Princes Eitel Oscar and Friedrich, the Dukes of Wurtemburg, and Mecklenburg, Admiral Tirpitz, von Scheer, 'lli’Oftha ; Count ißiisntyrek, Bernstorff, Hassellr, General Hindenburg, Ludendorff, Falkenhayn, Mackensen, Moltke, von Arnim, von Marwitz, von Beseac, von, Gallwitz, and Talaat Paslia. It -is feared tlie Government will fall if it endeavours to comply with the Allies demand and it is unlikely that any other party would form a Govern ment or be willing to bear the odium attaching to the surrender.
