The Health Department reports that there is some alarm on account of the mild form of influenza prevalent, but deprecates any undue prominence beinggiven to the visitation. They report that og the whole the situation from Auckland to the Bluff js well in hand, and so far reports are of a very reassuring nature. The schools and colleges in the North Island are remaining closed for tho time being, as a precautionary measure. The Department, profiting by its experience in the last epidemic, is well organised in case of another outbreak.
