“THE LAND WEi LIVE IN.” FRIDAY.
On Friday next, at the Princess Theatre, Mr M. Siegel will present by arrangement with Tom Pollard, the mammoth cinema triumph of the year, “The Land Wo Live In.” To travel and sec the country is. a privilege that can be availed of only by the few. Tlie majority live their lives with but a faint idea of the scenic beauties of tho country they call their own, an idea taken from a few scanty views published in the illustrated papers. Mr Siegel in his vastly interesting picture, puts it in tho power of the least moneyburdened folk to take a tour of the Dominion, from the North Cape to the Bluff, without travelling expenses and in arm-chair ease. To describe the picture in detail'would mean the compilation of ‘Something in the nature of a guide-book. This film opens with the North Island, Auckland and its lovely harbour being shown, after which the travellers are taken to the northern portion of the distinct, to Whangarei |andj Iverikeri. Tlie wonders of the thermal district arc realistically pictured. A trip “ way down the Wanganui ” is a wonderful portion of the picture, tho lovely scenic beauties of the, New Zealand Rhine being set off by tlie crowded steamers putting a good deal of life into the picture. New Plymouth, Wellington, . Nelson, Christchurch, Dunedin, and the love.y cold lakes’ district are all visited in turn, the best portion being probably tho views of tlie Otirn and Bullcr Gorges.
