DROWNED. AUCKLAND, Jan. 26. Alfred Charles Aispland, aged 48, was drowned while bathing in three foot of water at St. Helicr’s Bay yesterday with his son, the boy noticed his father floating on the surface and •struggled ashore with him, but efforts to revive him failed.
