The Real End of The War. In the minds of this generation the end of the war will always bs. associated with the armistice. That day brought us relief after our years of suspense and the assurance that the hideous slaughter was over, for it seemed inconceivable that Germany would ever renew the struggle. Besides that event the acceptance of the peace terms by Germany seemed a comparatively tame atfair and the •ratification a mere form.
