No BAUHiEug Tp Progress. Up in tlie <.high Alps where the snow begins to slide, it begins slowly and softly. But it gathers weight as it goes and quietly obliterates everything that stands in its way—trees, houses, fences—all the little vested interests are wiped out, and the great slide comes calmly on till all its work is done. The great movement against the wrongs of life has begun, and for any one to oppose it will be as futile as the passive resistance of the scattered pines and firs of the Alps.
