Trouble started within the Reichstag itself, the Independents interrupting the proceedings. A resolution to adjourn was negatived whereupon the Independents went to a window and waved their handkerchiefs. Demonstrators then attacked the building shouting—“ Down with Noske’s troops. In a wild rush they disarmed the soldiers. The military brought up machine guns and the crowd Hod in a panic. A dozen civilians were killed in the first discharge. The Reichstag adjourned after suspending several independents.

The “Daily Telegraph” Berlin correspondent says it was a ease of sauve qui pent, during the terrible scene. The struggling crowd were jammed up against Brandenburg Gate for some minutes. The openings were too small to allow the mass to pass rapidly through. The correspondent is convinced that the demonstrators were not prepared to do violence. Tile correspondent could only conjecture that foreign political desperadoes mixed wi(h the crowd, and turned a peaceable demonstration, into a grim ominous tragedy. ' ALBANIAN REVOLT. BERLIN, Jnn. laNorthern Albanians have revolted against the Serbian troops of occupation. In heavy fighting, Serbians bad many killed and two hundred taken prisoners.
