POLLARD’S PICTURES.

To-night at the Princess Theatre, Pollard’s present a double programme 11000 ft in length, including “Desert Gold.” This picture missed connection at Wellington last week, but patrons will have an opportunity of seeing it to-night. Included in to-night’s big hill of fare is a World Film Drama featuring Kitty Gordon supported by Irving Cummings and Johnny Hines, entiled “Merely Players” showing how an amateur actress made good, She cried because she was so happy—she got the bird. His interest died when she lost her money. “You cannot act. You have not really lived, therefore you cannot feel.” She thanked him for his criticism, and then set out to shew him he was wrong. How she did it forms a stunning surprise. She invited all her friends to see him make love to her unseen, to prove she could act. A young girl’s ambition blasted by a carping critic. How a jealous woman plans revenge, which rebounds and entangles her in her own net. On Thursday, by special request, Pollards’ present Rex Beach’s “Barrier.” Pollard’s usual picture prices will be charged.
