ACS’I'HAMAN & N.Z. CAULK ASSOCIATION WELLINGTON V. CANTERBURY. Wellington, January 9. The Wellington v. Canterbury cricket match was continued to-day. At the ooiuilusion of Thursday’s play, Canterbury were all out lor 285. Despite the. fact that tbo wicket favoured the batsmen, Wellington, at the outset made a poor showing, and sjx wickets were down for 47. The tail wagged effectively, however, Condiiffe making a long stand and compiling 62, while MoGirr and Middleton batted freely, the former scoring 68, and the other 43 respectively. Hutchings carried his bat for 23, and the innings (dosed for 262. Canterbury went in about 4 o’clock and when stumps were drawn had lost two wickets for 106 (Blunt not out 77, Patrick, not out 54).

In the match South Australia versus New South Wales, South Australia in the first innings made 249 (Richardson 45, Gehris 30, Williams 51, Rrigonian 65). 'Bowling analysis--Hendry 4 for 39; Kellewa.v 3 for 71 ; Ives 1 for 21 ; Andrews 1 for 43. New South Wales in the first innings lost three wickets for 75.( Bardslev 14, Tozcr, not out, 27).
