The firebell rang out an alarm of fire shortly before one o’clock this morning, The scene of the outbreak was a shed alongside No. 2 North Revell St. station. -The fire was soon got under before any serious damage was done. Sergt McCarthy received a notification from Constable Stark of Ross today that Mrs Angus Veale, aged 66, had been found drowned at Ross tins morning. The cause of the drowning is believed to be accidental. Ap inquest will be hold at Ross this evening. Mrs Veale has been residing at Donoghues for some years past. The body was •found at an early .hour this morning by Mr Veale, husband cf the deceased.
