GERMANS DRIVEN BACK. COPENHAGEN, Nov. 24. The capture of Mitau was affected by the Letts from the north-west. The booty secured was very large. Fighting continues to ; the south-east of the captured town. Colonel Bermondt’s beaten German troops have been obliged to retreat south-east from Mitau to the Lithuanian frontier, instead of directly to Germany. A German retreat on the Libau front is proceeding towards the Lithuanian German frontier. The Letts advance has been aided by a large amount of captured German ammunition.
