LATE LOCALS.
It is understood that arrangements are being made to show the Government picture, “A Tour Through Westland,” on Wednesday evening next. A definite announcement will be made tonight at Princess Theatre. The members of the Municipal Band met at the Band room on Saturday night for the purpose of saying farewell to Mr R. White who is leaving to-day to take up his duties at Greymouth. Various members Bpoke in glowing term sof Mr White's services as a bandsman, and Mr Ross asked ffim, on behalf of the Band, to accept a parting gift in the shape of a leather liand-bag as a token of their esteem. On the motion of Mr Richards, Mr White was unanimously elected a life honorary member of the band, as an appreciation of his valuable work while secretary of the Silver Instrument Fund. An ideal spirit for both sexes— WOLFE’S SCHNAPPS.
