All the newspapers' are demanding an autlioritative explanatory statement of tlie poliicy regarding Russia, especially in conenetion with the Allies precise relations with the various white Russian armies and the Baltic States. Also the relations of these armies and States. Other questions asked are jvhat will Jiappen when Bolshevism finally collapses. Will the influence behind the new Russian Government or Governments be German or Allies. It is authoritatively stated Bermondt is impudently asserting that he is , representing the so-called Russian Government, whereas he really is a mere adventurer who received and probably is Ist ill receiving the support of Von der Goltz’s german Army. Pther parties concerned are the German Government which has evaded the Entente's demand to withdraw its troops from the Baltic States, and North West Russian Governments, Russia elements in Bermondt's army were originally recruited from this source. The Russian north-west army from which Bermondt was dismissed is now entirely cut of sympathy with his present action. The Allies policy has always been to prevent the Baltic States being overrun by Bolsheviks or Germans!
