To-morrow night- Mr McLean presents a five act screen romance of love, “The Winning of Beatrice.” In this ' the ingratiating and inimitable May Allison has exactly the sort of role suited to her delightful personality. She plays Beatrice Buckley, a girl of i wealth and position, who, after the death of her father, is obliged to earn | her own living. The way in which she j does it is typical of the modern girl in | business. Beatrice makes capital out of her strongest capability—which is home-made candy. Robert Howard,-a young advertising man, who is -not only up-to-the-minute, but ahead of it, aids in the campaign in which her largest competitor is obliged to conic to her terms. Business and romance are combined in the most attractive manner in this brilliant comedy-drama, which has its tense, tragic moments as well as its brighter ones. “ The Winning of Beatrice,” with lovely May Alison as the star will please the most ; captious theatre-goer. j ltoss will be visited on Thursday i night.
