THE FIUME MIX. IjONDON, Sept. 29.
As regards checking the Italians at Fiume, there is one unanswerable reason against the employment of force is that the Generals report that the soldiers refused to obey orders. NEW YORK, Sept. 29
It is understood that President Wilson insist on the internationalisation of Fiume refusing to agree to annexation by Italy. - According to a Paris correspondent of the “New York Times” is is understood that the Allies will now stand aside and leave the settlement of the Fiume question to Italv alone. PARIS, Sept. 28.
The Allied Council is apparently changing its attitude towards Fiume. This change is stated to be consequent upon the most recent developments which are now regarded as threatening a Balkan war. The Allied Council professes to be clearly convinced that international action will be forced, unless Italy controls the situation within a few r days.
