shoe manufacturers, opposed the fixing | of a definite price, as there were so many details that governed the price of j leather. It would first be necessary to fix the price of raw material. , Mr Russell, who appeared for . the Warehouse Association: “You have to go.further hack to fix the price of the bullock, then the value of the fall of
rain.’’ In regard to clothing, Mr Russell saul that it would bo an extremely difficult matter to fix the price. It would be necesary to start from the grazier, inquiring into tbo price that ho' got for his wool. It was decided to postpone the hearing of the application for a fortnight.
