AUCKLAND, Aug. 29. | Confirmation has been obtained of the statement that the Huntly miners' | decided to go slow at a stop work ! meeting held yesterday, j It is understood that two ballots were taken. One was on the question of a strike, and one on the question to “go slow.” , The strike proposal was rejected, i" The proposal to “go slow” was carried by about 200 majority, the voting l being 270 for and slightly over 70 1 against. The Union issued a report to-day, intimating that the terms of the em- ; ployors were refused by the miners by a unanimous vote.
