AMUSEMENTS.

POLLARDS PICTURES. A GREAT PICTURE TO-NIGHT. To-night at the Princess Theatre, the Select masterpiece “The Secret of tiie Storm Country,” featuring Norma Talmadge as Tess the mother, will be presented by Pollards. The startling picture is a sequel to that famous picture “ Tess of the Storm Country,” a story that has been screened before admiring millions of people throughout the world. Norma Talmadge as Tess the mother, is the same Tess just growu-up a wee bit, and blossoming into womanhood and motherhood. One day she is a carefree, laughing little girl of the hills; the next, an outcast, deserted and crucified on the Cross of Silence by a weakling who stood by when she was expelled from the church of which he was a prominent member, and then, he still remained silent when an unspeakable brute was produced as the sharer oi lier shame. The star picture is said to even excel “Tess of the Storm Country,” in tenderness, humanity and thrilling interest. The interesting film “ Eife in the Insect World,” and a Patlie Gazette will be screened during the showing of what promises to be a most absorbing programme of screen studies.
