LATE LOCALS.

The Weight-Stepliensori Cup, which is fo- competition between the Greymouth and Hokitika Schools, has again been won by 7 the local boy Ts. On August 2nd the Greyunouth First Fifteen visited Hokitika and were defeated, after a hard-fought game, by 6—5. As the Greymouth School was on that occasion playing without a full team it was to he expected that the defeat would he avenged last Saturday. However, the Hokitika boys, although much the lighter team, showed a .great deal of grit, and by playing a strong defensive game were able to prevent any scoring. A Junior team also travelled to Grey 7 \vitli the Firsts, and, although playing with fourteen men, won their game by B—o. Gibbons and Nightingale scored tries, one of which Mclntosh converted.
