A MYSTERIOUS MESSAGE. SYDNEY, Aug. 15.
The latest in regard to the seamen’s strike is that an inexplicable position has arisen over the attitude of Senator Millen who is dealing with the dispute on the Government’s behalf.
The officials of the Seamen’s Union state that the strike has definitely been declared off. Prepara ions are made by the men to resume work on Monday unless Senator Millen advises to tlie contrary.
Senator Millen, however, states that lie received no message from the Sidney seamen. t
The Sydney Union, however, have received a message from Senator Millen. They aro unable to divulge its contents.
Another mass meeting of the Sydney men has been called for to-morrow.
