WESTLAND A. & P. ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the members of the Association was held at the Public Hall, Ivokatahi, on Saturday, stli July, there being a large attendance of members, Mr L. H. Morel, the President, occupying the chair. The annual report and balance sheet were received and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President—Mr L. H. Morel. Vice-President —Mr P. Wall. Treasurer—Mr James Fleming. Secretary—Mr M. Houston. Committee—Messrs T. P. O’Neil, F. C. Marshall, J. Vallanec, D- Clarke, J. Monk, W. O’Reilly, R. A. Harcourt, N. Harris, and Jas. Smith. The following resolutions were carried : (1) That all casual wages from the commencement of working the kiln ho at the rate of 14s per day. (2) That the Manager’s salary bo i raised to £5 per week. | (3) That the Association’s shed bo moved close to the kiln for the purpose of affording extra storage for lime. | (4) That the re-bricking of portion | of the kiln be left to the Chairman and ! Mr F. Wall to arrange.
