GREY RACES. GREYMOUTH, Apjril 26. Wcalther conditions for Saturday’s Easter Meeting of the Greymouth were ideal, and as a result a fairly iarge crowd of people attended at Omoto Course to witness the decision of the seven events carded for the day. The track was slightly holding, hut this did not greatly hamper hire (Competitors. During the afternoon, Rosevear and Recorder each accounted for two races, while other Canterbury trained animals in Merton and Nautical also scored, leaving Tyson the only Coast trained horse to succeed in having his number hoisted by the judge. The totalisator turn over was £6,208 10s. Results:— FLYING HANDICAP, 60 sovs., five furlongs 3—Tyson (8.11) 1 s—War Tax (8.7) 2 s —Tantalus (7.12) 3 Also started: —4 Bomb (9.0). I—Mar enga (8.5), 6—Guinea Gold (7.0). Won I conifortably by a couple of lengths from War Tax, with Tantalus third and Guinea Gold 4th. Time 1.7.
