GERMAN PEACE DELEGATES. PARIS, April '24. The German Government have officially announced that the German delegates are unable to reach Versailles before May Ist, and have also announced that seven journalists will accompany the Mission.
A DIPLOMAT’S VIEW. NEW YORK. April 25. Lord Reading, British Ambassador, in a farewell speech to newspaper correspondents, said a way would be found to reconcile the differences at Peace Conference. He believed such conciliation was now occurring. Democracy must reckon with Bolshevism in East Europe. Food would conquer Bolshevism, but the problem was to ensure an equitable distribution of the food in Russia under the Lenin-Trotskv regime. He was convinced Bolshevism could not long exist. OPEN DIPLOMACY NOT RELISHED LONDON, April 25. Tlie Unionist paper “Daily Express” says: President Wilson rushed into the arena at a critical moment “waving the reg flag.” Mr Lloyd George and M. Clemenceau, it declares, had arrived at a compromise which they calculated would bridge the crisis. Suddenly the Italian people were confranted in the newspapers with the President’s manifesto. This, it says, is an example of open diplomacy.” j “We may look,” adds the paper “to Mr Lloyd George to find an eleventhhour solution of a; hornets’ nest, in lieu of the old Balkan storm centre. His notorious manfesto may be a weapon which President Wilson may be sorry to have to fact as soon as he arrives j home. j
BIG FOUR RESUME WORK. PARIS, April 25
The Council of Four, with Signor Sonnino (Italian Foreign Minister) replacing Signor Orlando, have discussed some of the economic clauses of the Peace Treaty, and also the Kiel Canal. It is reported they have definitely decided that Danzig shall be a free port
GERMAN DELEGATES,

The statement that four German delegates have reached Versailles is contradicted. The German Government has officially announced that the German delegates will be unable to reach Versailles before May Ist. It is also announced that seven journalists will accompany the Mission.
ANNOUNCING THE TERMS
LONDON, April 24
The Treaty of Peace will be published throughout the world as soon as the text is handed to the Germans, in order to prevent the tatter from wirelessing garbled versions of it. It is expected that a six-thousand word summary will be cabled to Australia and New Zealand. Meanwhile the American Government is elaborating plans to wireless the whole text and reduplicate it to the various parts of the world.
JAPANESE ATTITUDE. (Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) PARIS, April 26
The “Matin” states if the League of Nations does not include racial equality, Japan will withdraw.
