A number of amended licensing poll returns have been received, making the .totals:— Continuance 249,652 Prohibition .' 247,320 Continuance majority .... 2,332 THE CORIN'THIC’S VOTE. The men who returned by the Corinthic state that the Licensing Poll taken on that, vessel was very largely in favour of Continuance. FURTHER RESULTS. WELLINGTON, April 24. Hon. Mr Wilford has announced the result of the voting on the Corinthie and Maheno as follows: CORINTHIC VOTE. _ - Continuance 927 Prohibition 179 Informal 6 Continuance majority 748 MAHENO VOTE. Continuance 366 Prohibition 102 Informal ?. 3 Continuance majority 264

FINAL NEW ZEALAND SOLDIERS’ RESULT. WELLINGTON, April 24.

Hon. Mr Wilford may be in a posi tion to announce late to-morrow night the result of the count of the whole of the votes of the soldiers in New Zealand.

The North Island votes were completed to-day and a start will be made on the South Island votes to-morrow.

RECOUNTS. Grey recount.—The seamen’s and absentees’ votes totalled 168, the figures being: Con. 113; pro. 55. The complete figures are Continuance 3324 Prohibition 1878 Informal 49 Total 5251 Continuance majority 1446 Auckland East recount.— Continuance 3,754 Prohibition 2,861 Bay of Plenty recount. — Continuance 3,348 Prohobition 3,070 THE LATEST FIGURES. WELLINGTON, This Day. The votes of the men who came by the troopships Maheno and Corinthie, and portion of the votes cast by the soldiers in the Dominion give a mnjority for Continuance of 4226. The counting of the remaining votes of soldiers cast in New Zealand is now proceeding.
