MUNICIPAL BAND BAZAAR

SUCCESSFULLY OPENED

The Municipal Band Bazaar inaugurated. for the purpose of providing funds for the purchase of a new set of instruments opened successfully yesterday afternoon. The Drill Shed had (been very tastefully arranged into stalls, all heavily laden with a groat array of goods of every description, and during the afternoon and evening a steady and very satisfactory financial turnover was effected, the day’s takings being substantial. In the evening there was

a large attendance and the scene was a busy one, an enjoyable musical programme adding interest to the proceedings. The members of the Band were busy assisting the stall-holders, who included the following who were assisted by many helpers. Fancy Stall—Miss Roberts and Mrs C Ross. Fancy Stall—Mesdames Hall, Connors, Butland and D Heenan. Produce Stall—Misses Palmer and Good. ! Fish Pond—Mrs O’Sullivan. Sweets Stall. Messrs Ross and Foster. Tea Room. —Mesdamss Morgan and Richards.

TO-NIGHT.

The Bazaar will be continued to-night and on Saturday afternoon and evening. There will a choice musical programme each evening.
