The Minister of Lands has convened a conference of Commissioners of Crown Lunds to meet in Wellington on April 28th, to discuss the general administration of the laild laws of the couutry by the Land' Boards. One of the objects of the conference is to secure uniformity in the plan of administration. Amongst the matters to be discussed will be the settlement of discharged soldiers on the land, and the advisability of an amendment or improvement of the law. The Minister lias askerl the Boards to send in suggestions and remits dealing with questions affecting their districts.
