[per PRESS ASSOCIATION. —GJPYBIGHX.. CASES IN NEW ZEALAND. “ WELLINGTON, April 22. The Minister of Public Health today supplied the figures for the notifications of ..influenza during the days from April 14th. to 17th. In all 38 cases were notified . In the Auckland District, there were 14 cases, all mild, except one gastric case at Ohura/ In the Wellington Health District -there were 18 cases, two at Eltham, both of the epidemiic type; sax m Wellington City, four severe and two mild and three in Pahmtua, two mild and one pneumonic. All the ot.imeases in the district were mild. In Canterbury District there were five cases, two of them shipping cases at Lyttelton, both pneumonic, from the steamer Koromiko. In Otago District there was one mild epidemic case in Vincent Hospital.

quarantine accommodation WELLINGTON, April 22.

The Minister of Public Health is endeavouring to expedite the work inquired to enlarge the quarantine sta. tions, ’ and has required the Chief Health o%er to report what has been done regarding the stations, how long it will take to get them into an efficient state. The officer has reported that the Public Works Department is pushing on the work at Motuihi, provision being made for the accommodation of 250 people, thus making a- total capacity oh the island of 450. At Somes Island hutments are to be provided increasing the accommodation to 500.
