The Irish linen industry, which ha s been very largely employed on th u manufacture of aeroplane fabrics, i s losing no time in opening its after-the-war trade campaign. Representatives of all sections of the industry, to the number of JIG firms, have banded themselves togctlitr into the Irish Linen Corporation, which has just arranged for a big campaign on behalf of Irish linen to open shortly in the United Stales. It has been decided to devote £1)0,000 in equal instalments spread over three years to this effort. Research is steadily proceeding in order to perfect manufacture and increase production. Owing to completion of war contracts Belfast linen manufacturers are reducing the hours of work in the finishing departments to 35,
