A meeting held here to-day in conmection with the St Patrick’s Day celebrations passed a resolution authorising Archbishop Kelly to cable King George and President Wilson in favour of the immediate application of the principo of self-determination to Ireland.
INFLUENZA INCREASING. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Influenza continues to increase, and
fifty-eight cases and eight deaths have been reported in the last twenty-four hours.
A BRISBANE TROUBLE. BRISBANE, March 25. Returned Soldiers attempted to raid the Russian Club but were prevented by the repeated charges of mounted police. During- the disturbance nineV teen persons were injured, eleven of them being police, including the Magistrate and Police Commissioner.
