RAILWAYMEN’S DEMANDS. ([Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. , Mass meetings of railwaymen at London and Liverpool demanded iusistance for the full demands. Air Thomas addressed 'the London meeting, urging patience and conciliation. .Be had a mixed reception. Nevertheless the Government, companies and men’s leaders are striving for a solution, the prospects of which are considered more promising. LESS THREATENING. {Received This Day at 11.15 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. The National strike is less threatening, though five thousand miners in Rhondella Valley declined their leaders advice and struck foi r the Federation’s full demands. A. number of Nottingham factories are stopping for lack of coal. WHERE THE DIFFERENCE LIES. (Received This Dav at 11.20. a.m.) LONDON, March 24. Air Thomas states the railwaymen’s demands have been connected in principle. The greatest difference is not between the Government and railwaymen but between the Unions concerned.
