POLLARD’? PICTURES. TO-NIGHT! TO-NIGHT! 1 To-night at the Princess Theatre, Pollards present the big Goldwyn production “Fields of Honor,” featuring Mae Marsh, Marguerite Marsh and Vernon Steel. This utterly true to life human story is a picturisation of the well-known writer, Irvin S. Cobb’s celebrated novel “ Fields of Honor.” The central character Marie, the French emigrant, is played by Mae Marsh with all her winsome charm and quaint pathetic style that is peculiarly her own. She is ably supported by Marguerite Marsh as the sister Helen. Irvin S. Cobb’s story is one of the best that lias come from his pen and tells of two French girls (sisters) who .emigrate, to America and on the way across, Marie encountei'S a young artist. They meet again in New Y ork ancl fall in love. All sorts of misfortune overtake little Marie and culminate when her sister dies ancl r.he is arrested and wrongly accused of a crime. The play works up to an exciting finish and is produced in real Goldwyn style. “Cape Kidnappers,” a Newham Dominion scenic study and a Pathe Gazette are also to be screened.
