CRICKET TOUR UNLIKELY.
. (Received This Day at 12.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 26. The Cricket Council is advised that several prominent members are unable to join the proposed Australian team to tour England, and consequently the tour is likely to bo adjourned.
RACING REGULATIONS. SYDNEY, February 26. The Associated Racing Clubs have stringently tightened the regulations against betting by or on behalf of jockeys.
INFLUENZA DISTRESS. (Received this day at 12.25 p.m) SYDNEY, February 26. Many are out of work and there is considerable distress as a result, of the influenza restrictions. The Relief Board has already dealt with over thirteen thousand eases.
AFFECT ON TOBACCO. SYDNEY, February 26. Compulsorv masking lias reduced tobacconists sales by fully twenty five per cent.
NO EASING YET. (Received this day at 12.25 p.m) MELBOURNE, February 26 The Medical Board has d'eeidagainst any easing of the influenza restrictions at present.
