AMUSEMENTS.
POLLARD’S PICTURES.
“NEARLY MARRIED,”
TO-NIGHT.
To-night in the Princess Theatre Pollards will present a big Goldwyn feature “Nearly Married,” starring the charming and clever little actress, Madge Kennedy, in the role of the girl who changed her mind so often that at last she had not a change of mind left in her. The management advertise that “ Nearly Married ” is a ladies’ picture, but men may come and see it although it is advisable that they be married men. There is plenty of comedy in the drama, but it has its serious side all the time. It may be described as a comedy tragedy. It is a masterpiece, and is really a remarkable picture-a picture to see. This big Goldwyn play is supported by “The Gifts of Magi,” a Broadway star 0. Henry story. The Magi were old men, wise or otherwise, and they instituted the idea of Christmas presents ; at least, so 0. Henry assures us in one of his inimitable stories, entitled “ The Gifts of the Magi.” The story has been transferred to the screen and forms a most attractive feaourette.
